Goodbye Summer, Hello Hockey!

We got season tickets to hockey this year with a couple of friends so I’m excited for October when the season starts!  We had to go to a “ticket pick-up” party tonight. It was uneventful.

The other day Matthew made enchiladas.  He sat there praising them after the first bite “these are awesome!” “these are so good!” “these are so amazing, I’m going to name them, and I can’t ever imagine loving my own children as much as I love this enchilada” This happens to some degree whenever he makes dinner.  When I make dinner the comments are more like this “thank you Julie, this is good.”  Which is polite, but pales in comparison to his own cooking comments.  I think maybe he should do all the cooking from now on.  That would stick me with cleaning duty all the time though.  Oh wait……..

I had a few main goals for this weekend:
#1. Make bathroom curtains (FAIL)
#2. Print out wedding pictures to give to extended family members (FAIL again)
#3. Make a pie (Shame)
#3. Laundry? Success!

On Friday Matt and I hung out at Chris’ apartment and they played video games while I looked at dresses on the internet.  I found a dress for my friend Scott’s wedding next month.  I love that it has sleeves, I am getting sick of strapless dresses.  It twirls really well and gives a peek of red satin when the skirt moves.  It was on sale when I went to the store to get it yesterday which was a great surprise.

It was rainy and cold this weekend so I reluctantly started putting away my summer clothes and getting my sweaters out.  It is exciting to be able to wear my fall/winter dresses though!  Anthropologie has the cutest dress coat right now but it’s super expensive.

I’m hoping to find a cheaper alternative.  Mine is a forest green with a peter pan collar and I want an update.
